Barking Dogs. Noise Nuisance
Noise nuisance from barking dogs is one of the most common noise complaints. Dogs will often bark whilst their owners are awy from home causing problems in adjoining houses. Some dogs will bark at the most minor disturbance, such as a nother dog or cat walking past outside.
Complaints to the local council about barking dogs may be dealt with by the dog warden service who may approach the problem by focusing on the welfare of the dog rather than the welfare of the neighbours.
Dog barking is often more predictable than other forms of noise nuisance and this can make evidence collection more straightforward.
